InteliCoat is dedicated to conducting its business with maximum sensitivity to environmental compliance and concern. The company's ISO 14001 compliance verifies that InteliCoat is minimizing its harmful effects to the environment and striving to continually improve its environmental performance at all levels. 

To date, the environmental procedures, process and planning activities at InteliCoat's Massachusetts headquarters and production facility have produced measurable results, including reduced waste generation, increased recycling of solid waste and raised consumer awareness. The company's continual environmental improvement programs are designed to achieve even greater results in the future.

 

Reduction Efforts

  • InteliCoat is dedicated to minimizing its overall waste generation to the greatest possible extent.

Solid Waste Management

  • InteliCoat is committed to divert solid waste from landfills by recycling paper waste and non-vinyl materials that are generated.

Air Management

  • Over 99% of all Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) generated by the use of solvent-based coatings are captured and destroyed on-site.

Cradle-to-Grave / Green Management

  • In 2007, InteliCoat created the Magic® Technical Bulletin for Recycle and Disposal.  This bulletin provides a list of suggested recycle streams for InteliCoat products, both to help customers implement recycling programs for post-print media and to encourage their active involvement in the recycling process as a whole.
  • InteliCoat actively works with the newly formed Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) Partnership, a joint venture between the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) and Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), to help create of a set of guidelines that will lead printing facilities down the pathway of developing sustainable business practices.
